2012 Theme Classes
Lot TC


Winter
           Snowman Art. Be Creative these snowmen can be made from any media ex, paper mache, styrofoam,            etc. Attach a 3x5 card telling who made it and why you chose to use this media.

          Christmas Music Boxes. Attach a 3x5 card stating who it belongs to, a description of the music box,            and a short story about it.

Spring
          Photos of Grandparents. Attach a 3x5 card stating who the photo belongs to, name of grandparents,            and a short story about when and where it might have been taken. Photo must be ready to hang.

          Easter Bonnets or Hats. Attach a 3x5 card stating who the bonnet or hat belongs to, brief            description and a short story about it if there is one.

Summer
          Wedding Dresses. Attach a 3x5 card stating who the dress belongs to, brief description and a short            story if there is one.

          Animal Fashion Review. This is an open class event anyone is welcome to decorate their livestock            animal in any seasonal theme and enter it in the parade. (Pets will need to be in a carrier or on a            leash at all times until the parade begins. Pets will return to carriers or remain on their leashes after            the parade has completed. Owners are responsible for tending to their pets at all times.) All Barton            County Fair Health requirements apply. Animal handlers are invited to dress themselves in            coordination or to promote a theme.

          4-H Memorabilia - Showcasing the Clover. Attach a 3x5 card stating who it belongs to, a description            of the memorabilia, and a short story about it. Be sure it showcases the 4-H clover.

Fall
          Vintage Halloween Decorations. Attach a 3x5 card stating who it belongs to, a description of the            decoration, and a short story about it.

          Election Memorabilia. Past or present. Attach a 3x5 card stating who the item belongs to, brief            description and a short story if there is one.
         
For All Seasons
          Unique Calendars. Attach a 3x5 card stating who the calender belongs to, is it handmade, computer            generated, or purchased and a short story about it.

           Decorated Baskets with a Seasonal Theme. Be Creative! ex. picnic, Easter, Christmas, etc. Attach a            3x5 card stating who the basket belongs to, and a short story about it.

People’s Choice
          Container Gardens. Container can be decorated with any seasonal theme you choose with a potted            flowering plant included. Container should be no larger than 16”x16”. Attach a 3x5 card stating who            it belongs to, brief description, and a short story about the container and theme you have chosen.
                   
           Scarecrows. Entry may be made by an individual, or a group, youth or adult. Use your imagination! Be            Creative! Scarecrows must be under six feet tall, from floor to top of scarecrow. Hands must be            sewn on or well attached. Scarecrow must be secured to or combined with a stake, and in a 5 gallon            bucket of sand for standing the scarecrow, or risk disqualification.

           Bowling Pin People Art. Decorate a bowling pin to represent someone.  This person may be someone            you know, famous, or someone you have studied in history. Attach a 3x5 card stating your name, the            name of the person it represents and a brief story about them.
