1. Review General Rules.
2. Rabbits shown at the Barton County Fair must have been owned and in the possession of the 4-Her before May 1, current year.
3. Each rabbit is to be legibly and permanently tattooed in its left ear for identification.
4. Exhibitors may enter not more than 2 rabbits per class, per variety, per breed.
5. When pre-entering, the breed, variety, class and ear tattoo must be on the pre-entry form. A different animal than the one pre-entered may be shown provided it is the same breed, variety and class. It must also meet all show requirements.
6. 4-H club members who qualify a blue or purple ribbon at the county fair may show the qualifying rabbit at the State Fair in the same class or the next older class depending on it's age and weight.
7. All rabbit classes will be divided into age classes: Pre-Junior (under 3 mo.), Junior (3-6 mo.), 6-8 mo. and senior. They will be judged according to their breed standard as listed in the ARBA "Standard of Perfection". Only breeds recognized by ARBA may be shown.
8. Pre-Junior (0-3 mo.) only for 6 class rabbit breeds. This is an educational class only. Rabbits in these classes can not compete for champion or reserve champion in their breed.
9. Colored and white fur entries must be made from rabbits that are entered in the regular breeding classes.
10. The rabbit used in showmanship must be entered in the 4-H rabbit show.
1700 - Pre-Junior doe (only breeds: Californian, Champagne , Checkered Giant, American, Chinchilla, Giant Chinchilla , New Zealand , Palomino, Satin)
1701 - Junior doe, under 6 mo. of age
1702 – Intermediate 6-8 mo. doe (only breeds: American, Angora Giant, Californian, Champagne, Checkered Giant, American Chinchilla, Giant Chinchilla, Flemish Giant, English Lop, French Lop, New Zealand, Palomino, Satin, Silver Fox)
1703 - Senior doe, 8 mo. of age and over for breeds listed in 6-8 mo. class. 6 mo. and older in all other breeds
1704 - Pre-Junior buck (for those breeds listed in the pre-junior doe)
1705 - Junior buck, under 6 mo. of age
1706 - 6-8 mo. buck, (for those breeds listed in 6-8 mo. doe)
1707 - Senior buck, 8 mo. of age and older for breeds listed in 6-8 mo. doe. All other breeds should be 6 mo. and older.

MEAT PEN
1708 - Meat Pen: 3 rabbits, all one recognized breed and a variety, maximum weight 5 lbs. each and not over 10 weeks old. Judged on meat qualities, condition and uniformity
NOTE: The Meat Pen is an educational class to teach 4-Hers to cull and select future breeding stock. Sale of Meat Pens: The champion and reserve champion rabbit meat pen will be eligible for sale throughout the auction. However, no 4-Her may sell more than one pen of rabbits through the auction.
