2. Your display tray should be no larger than the items you are displaying. The display tray
should not be decorated. All items on the tray should be of the same variety.
3. Exhibits in this division need not be mature. Efforts should be made, however, to select as
mature entries as possible.
4. Quality and condition of the exhibit will be considered. Choose vegetables for exhibit that will
hold up well during the Fair. Avoid over-ripe or over-mature specimens. Those that are slightly
under-ripe or slightly immature when picked may last longer.
5. Exhibits must be grown by exhibitor.

Collective Gardening Display
1. Exhibit consists of five different fresh vegetables. Canned vegetables are not acceptable. Only
one variety of a specific vegetable may be exhibited. Project is limited to 4 square feet of space
per gardening display.
2. The number of the five vegetables to be exhibited is as follows:
Large Vegetables – (one each) Watermelon, Squash, Pumpkin, Eggplant, Cabbage, Cantaloupe,
or similar vegetable
Medium Vegetables– (five each) Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Carrots, Beets, Onions, Corn Peppers,
Parsnips, Okra, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, or similar vegetable
Small Vegetables – (twelve each) Green Beans, Lima Beans, Peas
3. Your gardening display can be all from one category or you can combine some from each
category. For example: 1 pumpkin, 5 cucumbers, 12 green beans, 5 tomatoes and 1 cabbage.

Must have something in the display which represents a fair event, a ride or a carnival game. Must
have 3x5 card with description of the project theme.

Zucchini Art Contest
1. Entry is to consist of 1 or more zucchini squash, any size grown or purchased.
2. Zucchini is to be decorated using any form of decoration (paper, paint, ribbon, beads, wood,
fruit, vegetables, etc.) Use items that will hold up in a hot building for 4 days and will not wilt.
The decoration should look as good on day 4 as day 1.
3. It should be decorated to portray a fair event, carnival ride or game.
4. A note card should be attached saying what it is and why it’s exciting.
5. Any age can enter but one entry per person.
6. The zucchini art will be on display though out the fair.
7. Entries are due at standard check-in times. Get entry tag at check-in and attach to entry and
take to Open Class Gardening

1. All flower entries should be brought to the fair in disposable containers.
2. There is no limit to the number of entries an exhibitor may enter.
3. Flowers may include annuals, perennials, fresh cut flowers, African violets, etc.
Note: A cooler is now available to preserve flowers
