Barton County Fair Open Sheep Classic
Prize Money: $500 Grand Champion, $300 Reserve Champion,
$200 Third Place & $100 Forth Place
Entry Fee: $20/head/class

1. Read General Rules
2. Market lambs must be born after January 1 of current year.
3. All market lambs will be shown in short fleece in the market classes at the discretion of the superintendent.
4. Market lambs with testicles will be disqualified.
5. Veterinarian will be on hand near entrance of fair grounds. (Follow Signs) No health papers required.
6. NO ANIMAL WILL BE ALLOWED TO UNLOAD WITHOUT BEING CHECKED BY ON SITE VET.
7. Weigh in 11:00-12:00 noon on the designated scales provided, each exhibitor is responsible for weighing their own animal and completing entry forms with entry fee of $20.00 per head, presenting both to show table.
8. THE TOP 3 WINNERS OF EACH CLASS WILL BE WEIGHTED BACK AT THE END OF EACH CLASS WITH A 5# MARGIN ALLOW, if over, entry
will be disqualified.
9. Sheep classes will be by breed and weigh, dependent on number of entries. Breeds: Dorset, Suffolk, Hampshire, Naturals, AOB and Cross.
10. First, Second & Third places will be awarded ribbons and premiums of $6, $4, and $2 respectively. provided there are 5 in the class. The Grand, Reserve, 3rd & 4th place overall forfeiting class money.
11. GRAND CHAMPION, RESERVE GRAND AND 3RD PLACE OVERALL WILL BE SELECTED FROM THE TOP 2 OF EACH BREED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SHOW.
