1. Read General Rules.
2. There is no limit to the number of articles that you may exhibit. Except group projects which
are limited to two entries per group.
3. If an exhibit consists of a set, it will be considered as one exhibit.
4. Craft exhibits made from kits will be accepted. The exhibitor must state on the entry card that
the article is from a kit.
5. All articles brought to the Barton County Fair must be the work of the exhibitor.
6. If you absolutely cannot find a class to match your work, ask the superintendent to help you.
Crafts may include any of the following: weaving of natural fibers, recycled crafts, shadow box,
kitchen crafts, tin punch, stained glass, legos etc.
7. Painting, sketching, and drawing may be done with any of the following types of media: Oil
painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, mixed media, charcoal or pastel, chalk, tempera paint, ink,
sculpture, pencil calligraphy, etc.
8. Artwork must be framed or mounted ready to hang. Drawings and paintings should be matted
and a hanger attached to the back of the picture.
9. All exhibits, which need to be hung, must have a wire or saw tooth hangar attached in order
to be properly displayed. Wires preferred on large paintings.
10. All paintings must be completely dry.
