“This is an outstanding achievement for a Fair of our size to win this many awards”, according to Barton County Fair Association President, Charles Atkinson, “I think that this is just a reflection of the commitment that the Fair Board and all of our volunteers have to making the Barton County Fair one of the best.”

Atkinson said that, “These awards would not be possible without the commitment of the Friends of the Fair group who document the activities at the fair and make scrape books which are submitted to the IAFE.”  “The Friends of the Fair develop the themes and classes for the fair, help decorate and promote the fair throughout the year along with the Fair Board”, according to Barbara Davenport, Chairperson of the Friends of the Fair.
